Responsibilities
- Provide personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, ambulation, and transfers per each client’s plan of care
- Monitor client’s condition and report any changes promptly
- Prepare light meals and provide nutrition support
- Perform light housekeeping related to client care
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Support use of mobility devices (wheelchair, walker, etc.)
- Provide medication reminders (no medication administration)
- Maintain accurate documentation using our mobile app
- Follow infection control and safety procedures (CDC-compliant)
- Uphold agency policies, procedures, and professional standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of professional caregiving experience (non-family care)
- Reliable transportation to Valparaiso, IN
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR certification and TB test (or willing to obtain)
- Must pass a national background check
- Valid photo ID and Social Security card (for employment verification)
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional
